So I was excited to update my blog on the weekend that Ben was blessed and the whole family came out for that and Pat received his Eagle. So last Friday I was going to update my blog and stay inside my warm house cause it had snowed again. Well the time came that I had to go pick up Kyler and Riley (a neighbor boy that I watch sometimes) from Kindergarten, so off I went. I noticed that the roads were very wet and slippery so I was going slow. Next I noticed alot of sleet on the road so I started slowing down again and I hit black Ice and just started to hydro plane to the right of the road and I couldn't straighten out my van so I went with the flow and this is where and how we ended......
Front view...
Back view....
And the side view. You can't really tell in this picture but my back tire is totally off the road.
In the firsts picture you can see my tire tracks and then they are gone. We sled on the side of the van in the ditch for about 20 to 30 feet. (That is what Brant thinks cause I am not good with stuff like that. I just know I sled for awhile.
So with me I had Ryzer, Molly, and Thatcher (the brother to the one we where getting from school.) My kids where very upset and crying. Thatcher who is a little younger then Molly told me to, "Do it again, Jana" so I knew he was OK and still his wild self :)
Believe it or not this is all the damage that was done to, After we finally got it out with a tow truck.
Brant took a plunger to the passenger door and took the dent out in that one and luckily enough I did nothing to the axles or anything underneath.
So later that day we went down to my parents cause Brant had to fix the trucks head lights (after hitting a dear) so I could start to drive that while the van is being fixed. My dad came home from the doctors to tell us that his cancer is back......talk about a crappy day for me. So they are going to go in and just cut it out..get it out of there and hopefully we will be done with this. I think my dad is tired of it too. So hopefully everything will go well and for those of you who know him pray for him.
My dad also pulling Kyler's tooth out and now he looks funny. Kyler was so scared and my dad was so funny with him, at the end he asked if he was hurting him and Kyler answered yes so my dad stopped, and Kyler felt for his tooth and was so excited it was out.
Now on to a lighter subject. Easter was fun this year for my kids....a butt load of candy after three Easter egg hunts and the Easter Bunny. (that Brant told the kids he shot) that was funny. here are our pictures from those. Also us dying Easter eggs.
Easter egg hunt at the park.....
Easter egg hunt inside grandma's house.....
I always got an Easter dress growing up and I wanted to keep that tradition alive with my kids so they all got a new outfit and they all looked so cute and so handsome.
And that was our Easter this year.....and the Easter Bunny is still ALIVE!!
This last weekend was Kyler's Spring Break and I did nothing fun with him, so on Monday morning my friend Sandi called and said lets go to vernal to the rec center and go swimming. So we went swimming and then after they have a rock climbing wall that the boys wanted to do, and I serious thought that there was No way my boys would do that, but Kyler proved me wrong he made it all the way to the top....Talk about a proud mom moment. Kyler was also very proud of himself. Ryzer on the other hand proved me right. He started off good, got stuck and wanted down he maybe got up two feet at the most. He was shaking he was that scared. he is still proud of himself for trying it, and I am proud too that he tried it.
All strapped up ready to go.
Half way there.
Starting off strong.
And that is what we have been up too. I hope everyone had a good Easter and I hope summer is coming soon cause I need it badly.
