Long Horn Days.

This past week we had Long Horn Days which is Altamont celebration. It started off on Monday with the bike race. Ryzer decided he wanted to do this, so I told him ok and to go and get his bike ready. Thinking he was getting the bigger one with training wheels....he brought me his dinky tricycle. I asked him if he was sure he wanted that bike and he was determined.

So they lined up all the tricycles and decided to put the training wheels in with his group, then a ready set go came and Ryzer was off.....

Go Ryzer...Go!

He came in third place! I told him that if he had his bigger bike he could have came in first. He wanted to go home and get it now, and do the race over. To bad it doesn't work that way :)

The Fam rootin him on. I think he looked so funny on that bike cause he is to big for that tricycle, but oh well huh! For him coming in third they invited him to ride his bike in the parade and I told them no cause I wasn't going to push the dinky bike around when he got tired. So I convinced him not to cause we were riding in the fire truck.... Nothing can compete with that!

Then right after the bike race they had the family fun night at the park, but we didn't stay for that cause Brant had a softball game....plus it was five bucks a kid to get in and Kyler didn't feel like jumping on all the blown up stuff. He is so funny with his broken arm.

On Wednesday they had the co-ed volleyball tournament which we did with our friends, Sandi and AC, and Bear and Stephanie.... I had my camera there but forgot to take pictures. we came in fifth out of 20 teams. we are doing another co-ed volleyball game in August, so I will hopefully remember to take pictures then.

On Thursday and Friday...I don't know what they did...we didn't do anything cause family came out then.

Friday we went up to the mountains to Brant's family reunion. The Buchanan's had a huge family reunion up at the Yellow Pine campgrounds. It was alot of fun visiting with cousins that we haven't seen for awhile.

On Saturday we did the parade and we rode in the fire truck that Brant was driving.

During the parade Brant got the fire hose out to let me spray the crowd....well that will never happen again, cause I lost control of the hose, it when under the trucks wheel and got a big hole in it. Oops My Bad! Luckily the crowd didn't mind being sprayed alot right then. :) Then the men went back to the fire station and got the firework trailer up and ready for fireworks that night.

This year Molly loved the fireworks when usually she is terrified of them. She still wouldn't go near the sparklers though.

This is one of my favorite pictures Lachlan, Gavin, and Austin. As soon as the fireworks started going off Austin was in the back of my truck and started screaming for her mom or dad. She has never been that close and she was pretty scared. It was sad but so cute too.
